Culture Defines Who You Are (freewrite 9/17/2010)

Culture defines who you are in many ways. Culture is the way you live everyday life and even in America, our culture defines how we acta dn who we are. Different cultures live differently and everyday life is different from a different person's. A typical American would live their life waking up and going to work. Then coming home and making or eat dinner then going to bed. After that they wake up and this cycle happens over again. Everyone life their life differently. I am a different culture and at my house, we live in a Cambodian lifestyle.
My current lifestyle right now is waking up and taking care of my dog. Then getting ready for my day that consist of school, volleyball, and my family. I go to school and then I have volleyball practice or a game. When I'm home or when I get home, I cook for my family and we mainly eat rice, a protien (including fish) or soup and vegtables. After I cook, I do homework and then go to bed. The way we live at my house is very old-fashion Cambodian. At my house, we speak cambodian and that's how we communicate.
Culture is defined by who you arewhether you choose to be more "Americanized" or stay to your roots like me. Culture in different places and different time periods are all unique and different. Whther someone wants to keep their culture is up to them. Keep in mind though if we lose our past cultures and traditions, they might fade away and cease to esist or even be known. Culture is everywhere and it's either hidden or shown, but culture will define who you are.
